Midway through the 2017 season we are enjoying a fruitful run with our 2 year olds. We are delighted with Wolfofbaggotstreet, Yolo Star and Too Familiar winning for our new syndicate ‘Fitzwilliam Racing’.

Fitzwilliam Racing is a new syndicate, which in its first year, is enjoying a fairytale start with 4 visits to the Winners’ Enclosure from 5 runners! Hopefully their luck will continue at the same pace for their other runners about to make their debut at the track shortly.

We joined forces with Mr. David Bobbett this season, kickstarting with Guessthebill, a lovely homebred that he sent us up early in the year.

Ballygallon Stud, with their continued support, gave us a strong winner in Maximus Daia in Cork early in the season.

The horses are in good health with True Valour (www.qatarracingltd.com) showing us what we thought of him as a 2 year old last year. It was great to win a listed race with him over Irish Derby weekend and now the plan is to step up to Group level.

Golden Spell, apt in name and nature, continued their good fortune with a winning run in Bellewstown recently.

Khudha won brilliantly up the Curragh by 12 lengths and has now gone on to further his career as a 3 year old hurdler. We wish him and his new connections every success.  Les Arceaux for JP Murtagh Racing kept the home fires burning with a good win in Gowran Park, and given his ground, he should continue to perform well between now and the end of the season.

When time permits, Johnny enjoys his soujourns with ITV Racing; “They are top class, very professional and doing a wonderful job promoting racing. I feel very privileged to be asked onto their team.”
